Striving Hard in the Work Force

Seriously, it's not easy to be your own boss... Similar for a property agent like me... Being not long in this new industry of me, many friends were shocked about my choice... Personally, I'm quite shocked too... However, now that I'm into it, I have to put my heart and soul into it... BUT there is always an opposing "sound" telling me if I have made the right choice.

Before getting into the industry as my first career, I have consulted many people... Some supported my idea while some warned me of the hard work needed. Others let me decide on my own. Well, I hope I'm right. In fact, many of my colleagues are similar as me, those who entered at the same time as me. We are still trying (my manager dun like this word) our best to get ourselves financial freedom. My aim in the next five years - $1, 000, 000 profit. However, it's seem a bit ambitious if you do the calculation, including the expenses I may incurred. BUT, that's my vision. And for that, I am aiming towards it.

To those friends of mine whom know me, see me or respect me as an IT professional, worry not. I'm still open to IT jobs if real estate is not for me. Currently, I'm doing free lance PC / laptop repair services for my friends. Keeping up with IT & mobile trends l0cally and internationally.

At the same time, I'm managing the various events for my primary school's youth alumni, South View Youth Alumni. Our bazaar and Project Green Light II, both held during the November secondary school vacation. A week-long program, including SVPS Open House on the week's Saturday, allowed us to raise funds for the school, as well as for alumni to network with each other and work together towards a common goal.

Next week, we're going to Orchard for our 1st X'Mas outing. It's also our 1st night outing! Hope it will be a success with loads of fun, joy and laughter. Benvenuto'09 will follow shortly after that. A 2-day non-residential camp to welcome the new alumni to join us. Am planning for it now with my committee. =D

Ok la... stop here. =)

Week-Long Volunteering at SVPS

Finally managed to find some time to post... Haiz... havent been posting for about a month.
Real estate job is not smooth sailing... Havent see any income coming in...
Not sure if I can break my target or not... but just have to keep on trying... (though my manager dun like the word, "try")

Well, this week I never go to my office at Toa Payoh as I have been tied up with the various events at my primary school... Had bazaar and recycling projects... and tmr is the Open House... and it will follow with sorting out of collected recyclable items the week after...

Had much fun with the alumni doing so... and saw some new faces too... Had also seen some commitment some alumni have for the bazaar, as well as others who preferred to slack at home... Well, they just lose the opportunity to have fun together with friends at their very own primary school...

Will post some photos after the Open House i guess... and I think the Open House will be another fun day to meet the other school stakeholders and general public...

Here are the slides/poster images for the bazaar and recycling project:

Entering Real Estate

It has been about 2 weeks since I have started my training for ERA's Express Sales System Training (ESST). I have started to understand the corporate culture and also continuous learning and revision on the various resale policies and procedures among others.

I aim to close at least one sale/rental within this month and have confidence that I can do so. =)
If you have any property sale or rental to intro, kindly contact me. Thanks in advance.

New Chapter - Really Begins

If you have read my previous posts, you may have read that I mentioned that a new chapter of my life has begun. Well, it's real now.

First job of my life - ERA Real Estate Specialist.

Many of my friends were shocked when they knew that I'm into real estate. Well, it's perfectly normal.

IT, marketing, planning, education and now real estate. You could say that I do not have a focus, or you could say that I am multi-talented. You are right on what you think.

In real estate, in fact, I'm using my marketing skills learnt in school. Come'on, I'm marketing a huge product, and that is - a property. And I belief that if I could do well in marketing a property, I am sure to do so for others.

And of cuz, IT, planning cant run far from real estate as well. You should know what I mean here. Got it? Haha...

And what about education? Without educating the sellers and buyers on the various policies and regulations, do you think I could get the deals? =)

So, yes! I'm really into real estate. It's just real. Not kidding.

If your parents, relatives, friends or you have any houses/rooms/shops to sell/buy/rent,
remember to contact me at tanyoucheng@gmail.com

Thanks in advance for the help. =)

Finally, I Started My Career!

Finally, it's time to work!

Have been very busy the past few weeks with volunteer work at Lam Soon CC Youth Club and CDAC events, especially LSCC YEC's BGM. Loads of stuff to complete as a General Secretary. Luckily, it's over... only to repeat itself 2 years later... haha... cuz i'm the Gen Sect for the new term also. Well, with the experience I had last term, I think it'll be easier for me next time ba. :D

And yup, my work has started! I am now an ERA Associate, dealing with real estate transactions. So if your relatives and friends, and yourself want to rent, buy or sell properties, contact me! =D

Here are some photos to share with you:
